AzioInositols in the Treatment of Insulin-Mediated Diseases
A growing body of research is currently focused on the role of inositol isomers and in particular myo-inositol (MYO-INS) and D-chiroinositol (DCI) in the treatment of insulin resistance states. Both isomers have been shown to exert insulin-mimetic action

De novo stolon organogenesis in potato leaf callus elicited by Agrobacterium tumefaciens stimulus
Agrobacterium tumefaciens triggers stolon regeneration from potato leaf callus independent of T‐DNA insertion, suggesting a strategy to reprogram callus identity and expand the potential of tissue regeneration. ABSTRACT Plant cells can undergo cellular reprogramming, enabling pluripotent callus formation from excised leaves.

Dehydration‐driven organization of metabolites into NaDES‐like assemblies in orthodox seeds
Summary Desiccation tolerance in plants, especially during orthodox seed dehydration, relies on compatible solute accumulation, complex molecular mechanisms, and intermolecular organizations that remain poorly understood. We combined metabolite profiling, mass spectrometry imaging, and electrospray and cold‐spray ionization mass spectrometry to ...

Myo-inositol oxygenase is required for responses to low energy conditions in Arabidopsis thaliana
myo-Inositol is a precursor for cell wall components, is used as a backbone of myo-inositol trisphosphate (Ins(1,4,5)P3) and phosphatidylinositol phosphate signaling molecules, and is debated about whether it is also a precursor in an alternate ascorbic ...

Plastid Engineering for Photosynthesis‐Driven Synthesis of Hyaluronic Acid in Tobacco
ABSTRACT Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a glycosaminoglycan composed of alternating units of N‐acetylglucosamine and glucuronic acid. High moisture retention, viscoelasticity and biocompatibility are unique features that make HA polymers attractive compounds for medical applications and aesthetic purposes.

TaRIP2 Positively Regulates Wheat Pollen Wall Formation Through MYB80‐Controlled Lipid Metabolism
ABSTRACT Male‐sterile genes and mutants are critical for hybrid seed production in monocotyledonous crops. Lipids are essential structural components of male reproductive organs, such as the anther and pollen. Here, we show that the pollen‐preferential gene TaRIP2 is essential for wheat anther development and pollen formation. RT‐qPCR analysis revealed

ABSTRACT Enhancing nutritional quality of oilseed rape requires deeper insight into the genetic control of seed quality traits. This study analysed the effect of varying soil phosphorus (P) levels on seed quality traits in the hybrid cultivar Architect. NIRS and laboratory methods were used to quantify total seed P and phytic acid (IP6) content.
