To cope with highly stochastic and/or heterogeneous environmental conditions, animals must balance energy resource allocation across physiological processes. The digestive tract and brain exhibit structural variations under strong developmental and selective pressures that vary across environmental gradients both between and within species.

Brain size may be influenced by the cognitive demands of sociality (social brain hypothesis). We used microCT to compare CNS and brain volumes in social versus solitary huntsman and crab spiders. Social huntsman spiders had larger arcuate and mushroom bodies, while social crab spiders had larger visual neuropils.

Midwives' Physiological Approach at the Third Stage of Labour: A Scoping Review
Midwives play a crucial role in supporting a physiological third stage of labour by balancing trust in the woman's body with safety measures to prevent postpartum haemorrhage. This scoping review identifies key midwifery practices that promote natural placenta and highlights the importance of undisturbed, woman‐centred care.

We investigated neuropathological manifestations of hypothermia in 168 cases. Patients aged 65 years or more constituted 80% of the total cohort. Alzheimer's disease was the most common comorbidity, affecting 40% of all patients. Abstract There is a paucity of autopsy‐based studies providing detailed neuropathological characteristics of fatal ...
