Scalability of broadcast performance in wireless network-on-chip [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Networks-on-Chip (NoCs) are currently the paradigm of choice to interconnect the cores of a chip multiprocessor. However, conventional NoCs may not suffice to fulfill the on-chip communication requirements of processors with hundreds or thousands of ...

A review on path collisions and resources usage in hybrid optical network on chip (HONoC) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
System-on-chip (SoC) architectures are getting communication-bound both from physical wiring and distributed computation point of view. Wiring delays are becoming dominating over gate delays, which favors short links. The larger SoC the more probably the

Advancement in the Methods for Isolating High Quality RNA From Mouse and Rat Intervertebral Disc

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Isolating high‐quality RNA from intervertebral disc (IVD) tissue poses a challenge due to dense fibrocartilaginous extracellular matrix and naturally occurring endogenous RNases. High RNA quality is of paramount importance for accurate and reproducible molecular analyses, such as RNA sequencing.

Evaluating SWOT in the Coastal Zone: Comparisons With Tide Gauge and Airborne LiDAR in the Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary, UK

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract Traditional nadir altimeters struggle with coastal water surface elevation (WSE) measurement and fine‐scale river‐estuary interactions, due to land‐water signal interference and their wide inter‐track spacing. The wide‐swath Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission, using a new Ka‐band radar interferometer, aims to address these ...

Optical 4x4 hitless slicon router for optical networks-on-chip (NoC)

open access: yesOptics Express, 2008
We demonstrate here a spatially non-blocking optical 4x4 router with a footprint of 0.07 mm(2) for use in future integrated photonic interconnection networks. The device is dynamically switched using thermo-optically tuned silicon microring resonators with a wavelength shift to power ratio of 0.25nm/mW.
