Oxalis corniculata L. ethanol extract (OCEE) showed efficacy in promoting fracture healing. A total of 549 compounds were identified by UHPLC‐Q‐Exactive‐MS/MS, with three key components recognized. OCEE may accelerate fracture healing by regulating TNFα, MMP9, ESR1, TP53, and related signaling pathways. ABSTRACT Oxalis corniculata L.

Sialic acid acquisition in bacteria - one substrate many transporters [PDF]
The sialic acids are a family of 9-carbon sugar acids found predominantly on the cell-surface glycans of humans and other animals within the Deuterostomes and are also used in the biology of a wide range of bacteria that often live in association with ...

Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, the EFSA Panel on Nutrition, Novel Foods and Food Allergens (NDA) was asked to deliver an opinion on 3′‐sialyllactose (3′‐SL) sodium salt as a novel food (NF) pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2015/2283. The NF is mainly composed of the human‐identical milk oligosaccharide (HiMO) 3′‐SL (sodium salt),

Neuraminic acid content of sputum in chronic bronchitis [PDF]
The neuraminic acid content of sputum from 48 men with early chronic bronchitis has been estimated in samples collected over a period of three years. The results are compared with those from 29 advanced bronchitic patients and are related to the clinical features of both groups and to the physical and biological properties of the sputum.

Mucin glycosylation and sulphation in airway epithelial cells is not influenced by cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator expression [PDF]
Abnormalities in mucus properties and clearance make a major contribution to the pathology of cystic fibrosis (CF). Our aim was to test the hypothesis that the defects in CF mucus are a direct result of mutations in the CF transmembrane conductance ...

Sialic Acid Sensing via Molecularly Imprinted Polymer on Laser‐Induced Graphene
Sialic acid is an important biomarker for oral and overall health. Salivary levels of sialic acid are linked with oral cancer and other diseases. We develop a point‐of‐care sensor for sialic acid, based on molecularly imprinted aminophenylboronic acid electropolymerized onto laser‐induced graphene.

ABSTRACT T cell and NK92 cell‐derived extracellular vesicles or artificial cell‐derived vesicles (ACDVs) exhibit anti‐cancer effects through inherited cytotoxic proteins like perforin and granzyme or transmembrane receptors like FasL and TRAIL. The anti‐cancer potential of artificial T and NK vesicles has been improved by attaching targeting moieties ...
