Salinity Determination Using NIRA
Applied Spectroscopy, 1985The determination of salinity via NIRA is attractive for two reasons. On one hand, NIRA's stark simplicity (little or no sample preparation, 20 s analysis time) makes it a desirable technique for salinity determination in foodstuffs, forage, or biological samples.

NIRA Primary Wavelength Investigations of Nylon Yams
Textile Research Journal, 1989Near infrared reflectance analysis (NIRA) is a rapid and accurate technique for measuring the heat set temperature of nylon carpet yams. Several investigations on Suessen heat set nylon 66 yams have yielded empirical prediction equations based on reflectance at three wavelengths, with 2130 nm being common to each investigation.
