Proteomic Modification by Nitric Oxide

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2006
.: The role of nitric oxide (NO) in cellular signaling has become one of the most rapidly growing areas in biology during the past two decades. As a gas and free radical with an unshared electron, nitric oxide participates in various biological processes.

Ammonium Salts as Curing Agents to Obtain Ionic Epoxy Resins With a Thermoplastic‐to‐Thermoset Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic epoxy networks are prepared using ammonium salts as hardeners, leading to a two‐stage curing process with a thermoplastic‐like intermediate. This uncommon behavior enables extrusion and fabrication of thermoplastic prepregs that can be cured into thermoset composites.

Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species in Plants

open access: yesAntioxidants
Reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS and RNS) include two families of molecules that, in recent years, have been shown to be involved in a wide range of biological functions, such as seed and pollen germination, the development and regulation of ...

Facile Synthesis and Application of Dibutyl Aminophosphonate Polymer for Robust Uranium Capture from Concentrated Nitric Acid Process Streams

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Dibutyl aminophosphonate (DiBAP) resin enables rapid, highly selec ve recovery of trace U(VI) from strongly acidic streams, with excellent acid stability, efficient column performance, and quan ta ve regenera on using ammonium carbonate. ABSTRACT The recovery of trace uranium from strongly acidic streams generated during uranium processing is of ...

Neurotransmission and nitric oxide(NO).

open access: yesFolia Pharmacologica Japonica, 1992
The history of how we reached the goal of determining the mechanism of vasodilatation caused by non-adrenergic, non-cholinergic nerve stimulation in cerebral arteries was traced. We concluded from this project that electrical and chemical (by nicotine) stimulations evoke an increased influx of Ca2+ into nerve terminals and activate nitric oxide (NO ...

Spin‐On SiOx‐Assisted Inkjet Printing for Interdigitated n+ and p+ Poly‐Si/SiOx Contacts in Silicon Solar Cells With Suppressed Unintended Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents an innovative spin‐on SiOx‐assisted inkjet‐printed approach to form localized n+ and p+ poly‐Si/SiOx passivating contacts for high‐efficiency silicon solar cells within a single‐annealing step. The developed process results in a well‐defined interdigitated doping pattern, with unintended doping and cross‐doping concentrations ...
