β‐Hydroxybutyrate Acts as an Exercise Mimetic to Protect the Aging Liver
β‐hydroxybutyrate (β‐HB) acts as an exercise mimetic to protect the aging liver. In aged models, exercise‐induced β‐HB delays liver aging by reversing macrophage senescence, blocking mtDNA/cGAS‐STING‐driven inflammation, and alleviating hepatocyte lipid deposition/PANoptosis.

Background and Purpose Neuroinflammation is increasingly recognised to contribute to drug‐resistant epilepsy. Activation of ATP‐gated P2X7 receptors has emerged as an important upstream mechanism, and increased P2X7 receptor expression is present in the seizure focus in rodent models and patients. Pharmacological antagonists of P2X7 receptors attenuate

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the prognostic significance of preoperative inflammatory markers including platelet‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (PLR), neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and albumin‐to‐globulin ratio (AGR) in patients with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC) undergoing total laryngectomy (TL).

Negative Frequency‐Dependent Selection Promotes Strain Structure in a Plant Pathogen
Strains of the plant pathogen Pseudomonas syringae, defined by the combination of virulence factors known as effectors, exhibit in isolates from the Midwestern US a modular population structure congruent with core genome phylogeny. A stochastic and individual‐based computational model supports a role of negative frequency‐dependent selection in ...

Proteome‐Guided Drug Target Discovery for Periodontitis
ABSTRACT Background and Objective Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease driven by immune dysfunction and microbial imbalance. This study aims to identify circulating druggable proteins causally linked to the disease. Materials and Methods We integrated proteomics data from deCODE genetics with periodontitis genome‐wide association studies ...

Given the absence of curative treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, early detection and therapeutic intervention are critical to slowing disease progression. The last decade has seen accumulating evidence for microRNA dysregulation in circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs); however, assessing reproducibility between studies remains challenging ...
