Non–IgE-mediated gastrointestinal food allergy

Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 2015
Non-IgE-mediated gastrointestinal food-induced allergic disorders (non-IgE-GI-FAs) account for an unknown proportion of food allergies and include food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES), food protein-induced allergic proctocolitis (FPIAP), and food protein-induced enteropathy (FPE).

Non-IgE-Mediated Drug Hypersensitivity Reactions

Current Allergy and Asthma Reports, 2021
Non-IgE-mediated drug reactions have traditionally been poorly defined and studied, though they are the most common form of hypersensitivity. Their presentations are highly variable and can range in severity from mild, cutaneous-only reactions to severe systemic disease. The most notable advance in non-IgE-mediated hypersensitivity reactions is in ...

Non-IgE-Mediated Rhinitis

Current Otorhinolaryngology Reports, 2015
Patients with chronic rhinitis symptoms frequently present in physicians’ offices. The best-studied form of chronic rhinitis is IgE-mediated allergic rhinitis; however, the prevalence of non-allergic, non-IgE-mediated rhinitis among the chronic rhinitis population is high, and the disorder is an important cause of widespread morbidity.

NON‐IgE‐MEDIATED ASTHMA IN CHILDREN

Acta Paediatrica, 1985
ABSTRACT. Among 586 children with asthma, 484 (82 %) were found to have IgE‐mediated (“extrinsic”) asthma, and seventy‐two (12 %) non‐IgE (“intrinsic”) asthma. The remaining 30 patients (6%) were classified as “intermediate”, as they had serum IgE within or above serum IgE levels of healthy children but no allergy to common allergens.

Non-IgE Mediated Food Allergy

Inflammation & Allergy - Drug Targets, 2008
Adverse reactions to dietary proteins (DPs) can impose a significant impact on one's daily life and can even affect the 'life style' of an entire family. Adverse reactions to DPs may or may not be immune-mediated. The immune-mediated adverse reaction to food is defined as food allergy (FA) which is roughly divided into IgE mediated or non-IgE mediated ...

Non-IgE-mediated food allergy during infancy

Current Opinion in Allergy & Clinical Immunology, 2020
Purpose of review Is to highlight the recent advances in the diagnosis and management of non-IgE-mediated food allergy which is a common consideration in primary care and in allergy and gastroenterology subspecialty practices evaluating infants. Recent findings The review focuses on

Non‐IgE‐mediated gastrointestinal food allergies in children

Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, 2016
AbstractNon‐IgE‐mediated gastrointestinal food allergic disorders (non‐IgE‐GI‐FA) including food protein‐induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES), food protein‐induced enteropathy (FPE), and food protein‐induced allergic proctocolitis (FPIAP) are relatively uncommon in infants and young children, but are likely under‐diagnosed.

Non-IgE-mediated Adverse Food Reactions

Current Allergy and Asthma Reports, 2017
The purpose of this review is to update what is currently known about the major non-IgE-mediated food allergies: food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES), food protein-induced allergic proctocolitis (FPIAP), and food protein-induced enteropathy (FPE).

Is occupational asthma to diisocyanates a non–IgE-mediated disease?

Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 2006
Exposure to diisocyanates in the workplace is an important cause of occupational asthma. The majority of patients with diisocyanate-induced asthma have no detectable diisocyanate-specific IgE antibodies in serum. There has been much debate as to whether this is due to diisocyanate-induced asthma being mediated by non-IgE mechanisms or whether it is the
