The prognostic role of magnetic resonance enterography at diagnosis in paediatric isolated ileocaecal Crohn's disease

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives We aimed at identifying magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) predictors of surgical intervention and anti‐tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF‐α) initiation in a paediatric cohort of patients newly diagnosed with isolated ileocaecal (L1) Crohn's disease (CD).

Changes in phenolic profile, physicochemical properties and sensory attributes of steamed bread fortified with golden kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) flour during processing

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Chinese steamed bread (CSB) is a traditional East Asian staple. Its texture and nutrition depend on the gluten and starch content of the wheat flour that it contains. Incorporation of golden kiwifruit, which is rich in dietary fiber, vitamin C, and phenolic antioxidants, offers a novel fortification strategy.

A DUF3455 domain‐containing protein promotes Ustilaginoidea virens infection and functions as a plant immune elicitor

open access: yesNew Plant Protection, EarlyView.
The fungal effector UvDUF1 from Ustilaginoidea virens not only promotes infection but also acts as a plant immunity elicitor, inducing broad‐spectrum disease resistance in rice and Nicotiana benthamiana. These results reveal its potential as a novel target for sustainable crop protection strategies.

Efectele levurilor non-saccharomyces asupra vinurilor albe naturale seci

open access: yes, 2014
It was demonstrated a positive action of the non-Saccharomyces yeasts on the organoleptic properties of wines. Also, their participation in fermentation process did not involve an excessive accumulation of volatile acidity or other taste and aroma defects.

RNA interference in crop protection: opportunities and challenges during the transition to commercialization

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
RNA interference (RNAi) technologies, host‐induced gene silencing (HIGS) and spray‐induced gene silencing (SIGS), potentially offer sustainable crop protection. However, efficacy, costs, regulatory clarity, and socio‐environmental impacts require further evaluation for broader use.
