Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The role of the notch signalling pathway in vascular smooth muscle cell apoptosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The Notch signalling system is a highly conserved method of cell-to-cell communication involved in cell fate decisions in many cell types. Until recently, the importance of the Notch signalling pathway was recognized in the embryonic but not in the adult

Transcriptional program of osteoblast differentiation : coordinated activation of Notch, Wnt, and TGF-[beta] signaling pathways in MC3T3 cell line [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In order to examine the early events in osteoblast differentiation, three different model systems for osteoblast differentiation were compared: mouse pre-osteoblastic cell line MC3T3; mouse myoblastic cell line C2C12 and primary mouse calvarial ...

Notch-signaling regulates the transition of atoh1a cycling progenitors towards atoh1b committed cells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
A-B) Whole mount double in situ hybridization with atoh1a (green) and atoh1b (magenta) in Tg[tp1:GFP] embryos (readout of Notch-activity in white). A’-B’) Reconstructed transverse views of embryos displayed as dorsal views in (A-B) through the point ...

Macrophage Notch1 Participates in LPS-Induced Acute Lung Injury via Regulating CCR5 Expression in Mice

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioscience-Landmark
Background: As pivotal immunoregulatory sentinels in pulmonary defense systems, alveolar macrophages (AMs) play dual roles in mediating inflammatory responses and tissue repair processes during various phases of inflammatory cascades ...

Low-Noise Chopper-Stabilized Multi-Path Operational Amplifier with Nested Miller Compensation for High-Precision Sensors

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
This paper presents a low-noise multi-path operational amplifier for high-precision sensors. A chopper stabilization technique is applied to the amplifier to remove offset and flicker noise.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Notch signaling pathway in human vascular smooth muscle cell differentiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Notch receptor-ligand interactions are a highly conserved mechanism, originally described in developmental studies using Drosophilae, that regulate inter-cell communication and dictate, in part, vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) fate in response to ...
