GLS1 Orchestrates Exosome‐Mediated Tumor‐Endothelial Communication to Facilitate Angiogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a previously unappreciated, non‐metabolic function of GLS1 in the control of tumor angiogenesis via exosome‐mediated CAV1‐TNC signaling, indicating that therapeutic targeting of GLS1 may offer a dual benefit by simultaneously suppressing tumor metabolic activity and angiogenic processes in head and neck cancer. ABSTRACT Glutaminase 1

Notch1 signaling in melanoma cells promoted tumor-induced immunosuppression via upregulation of TGF-β1

open access: yesJournal of experimental & clinical cancer research : CR, 2018
The receptors of Notch family play an important role in controlling the development, differentiation, and function of multiple cell types. The aim of this study is to investigate the role of Notch1 signaling upon immune suppression induced by melanoma ...

In Vivo Visualization of Notch1 Proteolysis Reveals the Heterogeneity of Notch1 Signaling Activity in the Mouse Cochlea

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Mechanosensory hair cells (HCs) and surrounding supporting cells (SCs) in the mouse cochlea are important for hearing and are derived from the same prosensory progenitors. Notch1 signaling plays dual but contrasting and age-dependent roles in mouse cochlear development: early lateral induction and subsequent lateral inhibition.

Essential Role of Endothelial Notch1 in Angiogenesis [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation, 2005
Background— Notch signaling influences binary cell fate decisions in a variety of tissues. The Notch1 receptor is widely expressed during embryogenesis and is essential for embryonic development. Loss of global Notch1 function results in early embryonic lethality, but the cell type responsible for ...

A Bone Marrow–Mimetic Hydrogel Enables Dual‐Phase Hemostasis and Vascularized Osteogenesis for Cranial Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic, fiber‐reinforced hydrogel (FE‐PDA@Fib/Gel‐TG) that enables dual‐phase cranial defect repair. The system provides: instant hemostasis in the early stage, and sustained co‐delivery of pro‐angiogenic and osteogenic signals for synergistic vascularized bone regeneration.

Exosomal miR-182-5p from breast cancer cells reprogram tumor-associated macrophages and promote triple-negative breast cancer progression by targeting Notch1 in macrophages

open access: yesArchives of Medical Science
Introduction The regulatory role of miR-182 in breast cancer malignancy and macrophage reprogramming is well established. However, the mechanisms through which miR-182 overexpression in tumor cells influences macrophage polarization remain elusive ...

An essential role of RNF187 in Notch1 mediated metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research, 2019
Background Aberrant activation of Notch signaling has been causally linked to the metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), however the underlying molecular mechanisms are still poorly understood.

The role of chorionic gonadotropin and Notch1 in implantation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, 2007
Failed implantation is a major limiting factor in infertility and early pregnancy loss. In primates, human chorionic gonadotropin mediated inhibition of stromal cell apoptosis and their subsequent differentiation into decidual cells is critical for successful embryo implantation.

Orchestrated Engineered Polyphenol‐Peptide Condensates Coupled With β‐GP Reverses Diabetic Osteoporosis by Remodeling Mitophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional β‐GP@EGCG‐E7 nanoplatform is engineered by polyphenol–peptide condensation and phosphate loading. Bone‐targeted delivery, antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory activity, and mitophagy restoration are integrated in one system, enabling protection of osteoblasts and endothelial cells and promoting bone regeneration under diabetic ...
