ROLE OF THE NOTCH1 GENE IN FORMATION OF AORTIC ANEURYSM
Aim. To evaluate the impact of genetics in development of thoracic aneurysm in patients with tricuspid valve (TAV) and bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) based on the analysis and search for mutations in NOTCH1.Material and methods.

Notch1ablation radiosensitizes glioblastoma cells [PDF]
Broad specific Notch1 inhibitors suppress glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) growth but have significant gastrointestinal toxicities. Here, we examined Notch1 expression in GBM tissue specimens and its correlation with the overall survival (OS) of GBM patients.

ABSTRACT There is a strong genetic contribution to the etiology of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). This study evaluated genetic testing results and diagnostic yield for fetuses and children with CDH. This was a retrospective cohort study of exome sequencing (ES) performed at GeneDx for fetuses and children ≤ 18 years of age with CDH compared ...

SDPR–STK38 axis controls the proliferation–differentiation balance in alveolar type II cells
The present study identifies SDPR as a pivotal regulator orchestrating the balance between proliferation and differentiation in alveolar type II (AT2) cells. In SDPR+/+ cells, SDPR binds to and inhibits STK38 activity, thereby sustaining GSK‐3β signaling functionality to promote cyclin D1 degradation and maintain cell cycle homeostasis.

Notch1 Inhibition Exacerbates APAP-Induced Liver Injury via β-Catenin and Macrophage Polarization
Background: Notch1 signaling regulates innate immune-mediated inflammation in acute liver injury (ALI). However, the precise mechanism by which Notch1 governs macrophage polarization during ALI remains poorly understood.

Notch1 gene knockdown by siRNA.
(A) RT-PCR results of Notch1 in UM cells. OCM1 and VUP cells were analyzed using specific primers for Notch1 mRNA. A 100 bp DNA ladder molecular marker served as the reference. PCR bands were normalized using the internal control β-actin.

A Survival Epidemiology Framework for Oral and Oropharyngeal Cancer
ABSTRACT Oral and oropharyngeal cancer remains a major global public health burden, but the literature addressing this disease is still organized predominantly around who develops it rather than around what determines life after diagnosis. That imbalance is consequential because diagnosis initiates a new scientific problem.
