Transfer and expression of nptII and bar genes in cucumber (Cucumis satavus L.)

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Plant, 2005
Abstract The generation of transgenic Cucumis sativus cv. Greenlong plants resistant to phosphinothricin (PPT) was obtained using Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated gene transfer. The protocol relied on the regeneration of shoots from cotyledon explants.

??????????????????????-???????????????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? ?????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????? NPTII ?? ?????????????????????? ???????????????? ????????????

2021
Presence of no less then two T-DNA insertions into line Nu 21 plant genome was confirmed. Interaction character between nptII gene alleles was analyzed in Nu 21/5, Nu 21/6 lines 1 generation crossing hybrids and in Nu 21/5, SR1 (wild-type line) and Nu 21/6, SR1 1 generation crossing hybrids. Plasmid pC27-nuclS T-DNA part sequence was determined. It was

Heat-shock-mediated elimination of the nptII marker gene in transgenic apple (Malus×domestica Borkh.)

Gene, 2012
Production of marker-free genetically modified (GM) plants is one of the major challenges of molecular fruit breeding. Employing clean vector technologies, allowing the removal of undesired DNA sequences from GM plants, this goal can be achieved. The present study describes the establishment of a clean vector system in apple Malus×domestica Borkh ...

Bacterial species specificity in proU osmoinducibility and nptII and lacZ expression.

Journal of molecular microbiology and biotechnology, 2005
Reporter gene-based transcriptional fusions are increasingly being used to address questions in microbial ecology, with constitutively expressed fusions enabling microbe tracking and inducible fusions reporting the presence of environmental signals. To more readily apply this technology to a variety of bacterial species, we examined species specificity

Modified in planta transformation procedure for Agrobacterium tumefaciens mediated NptII in brinjal (Solanum melongina)

Progressive Horticulture, 2016
In the present study, optimization of in planta genetic transformation of Solanum melongena L. var. CVK (Covai Vari Kathari) was attempted using seed as an explant and Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404 containing the gene construct 35S: nptII: RCI2A in the binary vector pBI121.

UV Inducible Transient Expression of Chimeric CHS-NPTII in Parsley Proto — Plasts

1988
Light is a very important effector for differentiation in plant development. One of the most intensivly studied regulatory effects of (UV B)-light on specific metabolic pathways is the induction of flavonoid biosynthesis (Kreuzaler et al., 1983). Flavonoids are abundant in higher plants and function as flower pigments and UV protective compounds ...

Nucleosome positioning in the NPTII neomycin phosphotransferase gene on a yeast plasmid in the repressed and active states

Molecular Biology, 2008
A yeast plasmid was constructed to contain a hybrid GAL-CYC promoter, the NPTII neomycin phosphotransferase gene, and the FRT sequence between them. The CYC part of the GAL-CYC promoter harbored four upstream activating sequences (UASs) and two close TATA boxes.

Establishment of neomycin phosphotransferase II (nptII) selection for transformation of soybean somatic embryogenic cultures

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Plant, 2018
Soybean transformation is limited by the lack of multiple efficient selectable marker systems. Biolistic transformation of somatic proliferative embryogenic cultures, one of the commonly used soybean transformation methods, relies largely on hygromycin phosphotransferase II (hptII) selection.

Acquisition of a collection of Lycopersicon pennellii (Corr. D'Arcy) transgenic plants with uidA and nptII marker genes

The Journal of Horticultural Science and Biotechnology, 1999
SummaryThis paper describes an efficient protocol for in vitro regeneration and genetic transformation from leaf explants of L. pennellii (Corr. D'Arcy). Shoot organogenesis was achieved on media with different combinations of indole-acetic acid (IAA) and kinetin (K). Regeneration ratios ranged from 50 to 90%.

Agrobacterium-mediated transformation efficiency of carrot embryogenic callus using nptII and hpt selective genes

Russian Agricultural Sciences, 2015
Experiments were carried out to compare the efficiency of embryogenic carrot calli transformation using selective genes nptII and hpt. Our data showed that it is more preferable to use kanamycin concentration 100 mg/L and hygromycin 20 mg/L for the selection of transgenic shoots.
