Particulate matter ≤2.5 µm (PM2.5) elevates risks of neurological and chronic metabolic diseases, but the underlying mechanisms linking PM2.5‐induced central nervous system (CNS) injury to metabolic dysfunction remain unclear. Hypothalamic pro‐opiomelanocortin‐expressing (POMC+) neurons regulate systemic metabolic homeostasis, and tripartite motif ...

MicroRNA-124–3p regulates NPY to affect appetite in individuals with depressive disorder
While the pathogenesis of depression has been extensively studied, the mechanisms underlying appetite suppression in depression remain poorly understood. This study aimed to elucidate the role of the microRNA-124–3p (miR-124–3p)/neuropeptide Y (NPY) axis

Neuropeptide Y inhibits interleukin-1β-induced phagocytosis by microglial cells
Background Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is emerging as a modulator of communication between the brain and the immune system. However, in spite of increasing evidence that supports a role for NPY in the modulation of microglial cell responses to inflammatory ...

This study identifies CRISPLD2 as a key protector against IVDD. By regulating ferroptosis through the CRISPLD2–miR‐548I–IL17A axis, CRISPLD2 maintains NPCs homeostasis and reduces oxidative stress. Restoring CRISPLD2 expression effectively alleviates disc degeneration and highlights a promising therapeutic strategy for discogenic low back pain ...

Chiral Metal Nanoclusters: Structure, Synthesis, and Optoelectronic Applications
Chiral metal nanoclusters (NCs) possess atomically precise structures and unique chiroptical properties. This review systematically summarizes chiral origins, synthetic strategies, and optoelectronic applications of chiral metal NCs, outlining challenges and future perspectives in this edge‐cutting area.

In a kainic acid‐induced mouse model of epilepsy, upregulation of HSDL2 in the hippocampus prolonged seizure latency, increased the membrane expression of PSD95, and enhanced its phosphorylation. Concurrently, HSDL2 attenuated the interaction between PSD95 and the NMDAR subunits GluN2A/GluN2B, thereby suppressing NMDAR overactivation, reducing ...

Anterior Nasal Nerves: A Cadaveric Anatomic and Immunohistochemical Analysis
Anterior nasal nerves (ANNs) were identified in all cadavers, with more supplying the anterolateral nasal wall (ALNW) than the anterior portion of the inferior turbinate (IT), between the pyriform aperture (PA) and middle turbinate (MT). Both sensory and autonomic nerve markers were also identified in the ANNs.
