Opticus atrophy—Genetic testing with WES/WGS in 62 patients with optic atrophy provided a genetic diagnosis in 21 patients (33.9%). 42.9% of these involved non‐OPA1 genes, including WFS1, ACO2, NR2F1, UCHL1, CACNA1F, and COQ2, where the genetic diagnosis prompted additional clinical evaluation, surveillance, or therapeutic intervention.

NR2F1 controls tumour cell dormancy via SOX9- and RARβ-driven quiescence programmes [PDF]
Metastases can originate from disseminated tumour cells (DTCs), which may be dormant for years before reactivation. Here we find that the orphan nuclear receptor NR2F1 is epigenetically upregulated in experimental head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) dormancy models and in DTCs from prostate cancer patients carrying dormant disease for 7-18 ...

New Insights into the Diverse Functions of the NR2F Nuclear Orphan Receptor Family
Following gene expansion during evolution, today’s phylogenetic tree of the NR2F family of nuclear orphan receptors in mammals is represented by three different isoforms: NR2F1, NR2F2, and NR2F6.

Sex‐stratified analyses of the TCGA and CGGA cohorts have identified promoter‐proximal TACSTD2 CpG sites where methylation shows opposite survival associations in males and females, is independent of copy number, and correlates with TACSTD2 expression.

Clinical phases and classification of breast tumor dormancy. Tumor dormancy is described as the period after treatment until residual tumor cells become detectable as relapsing disease in clinic. During the period of clinical tumor dormancy, tumor mass dormancy and cellular dormancy may coexist.
