Detection of resistance in Phytophthora infestans to the carboxylic acid amide (CAA) fungicides using digital droplet PCR

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
A ddPCR was developed to allow for the detection of the CAA resistance allele G1105S in Phytophthora infestans. The assay has been validated using DNA extracted from pure cultures and FTA cards, which are the principal means through which P. infestans is genotyped.

Single and dual RPA‐CRISPR/Cas assays for point‐of‐need detection of Stewart's wilt pathogen (Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii) of corn and Maize dwarf mosaic virus

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 81, Issue 4, Page 1988-1999, April 2025.
Schematic diagram of the single and dual RPA‐CRISPR/Cas12a/13a diagnostic assays for the detection of Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii and Maize dwarf mosaic virus. The validated assays provide a useful and sensitive molecular tool for detecting two quarantine pathogens of maize within a minimal resource framework suitable for fast‐tracking the ...

Secretome Profiling in Axon Regeneration: Emerging Techniques and Therapeutic Translation

open access: yesSensory Neuroscience, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The secretome refers to the in vivo ensemble of molecular entities that are found in interstitial spaces. It is then the mere secreted products of the cells, as all biomolecules in the interstitial cellular spaces also undergo modifications. The fractionated secretome may hold potential as a cell‐free therapy option due to its role in tissue ...

Real‐Time Monitoring of DNA Origami‐Cell Interactions via Single Particle Tracking

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study utilizes single particle tracking (SPT) to capture real‐time interactions between DNA origami nanorods (NRs) and cell surfaces. Functionalized NRs targeting EGFR‐expressing cells exhibit selective binding, while nonfunctionalized NRs show minimal interaction.

Superhydrophobic Cell‐Repellent Microstructures: Plastron‐Mediated Inhibition of A549 Epithelial Cell Adhesion

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Engineered superhydrophobic micropillars reduced A549 cell adhesion tenfold after 1 day of incubation via a plastron‐mediated physical repellency mechanism, independent of cell‐surface biochemical interactions. Microstructured surfaces outperformed nanostructures, providing the first experimental evidence of microscale superiority.

Lipid Nanoparticles for Delivery of CRISPR Gene Editing Components

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
The review presents a comprehensive overview of each component of lipid nanoparticles(LNPs)and their effects on editing efficiency. It specifically highlights strategies for achieving non‐liver delivery, aiming for broader applications in gene editing. Furthermore, this review summarizes the applications of LNPs in gene editing and offers insights for ...

Genetic differentiation and adaptive evolution of buff‐tailed bumblebees in Asia

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the genetic differentiation and local adaptation of the buff‐tailed bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) across its European and Asian populations. Using whole‐genome resequencing, we identified distinct genetic differences between populations, with Asian B. terrestris representing a unique genetic resource.
