Introduction of biocontrol agents to agricultural environments creates microbial confrontations. In confrontations between a fungal maize pathogen and a biocontrol bacterium or a ubiquitous fungus, novel compounds with similarity to synthetic fungicides and substances putatively toxic to humans are formed, questioning consumer safety of biological ...

Abstract The food enzyme AMP deaminase (AMP aminohydrolase; EC 3.5.4.6) is produced with the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus pallidofulvus strain AE‐DN by Amano Enzyme Inc. The food enzyme was free from viable cells of the production organism. It is intended to be used in the processing of yeast and yeast products.

Survey of ochratoxin A in raisin produced in Hamadan province factories and relationship between contamination with defective seeds [PDF]
Ochratoxin A is one of the most common of raisin mycotoxins which is potential nephrotoxin in human and a teratogenic, mutagenic, carcinogenic and immunosuppressive toxin. The aim of this study was to determine the amount of ochratoxin in raisin produced

Abstract The food enzyme aminopeptidase Y (EC 3.4.11.15) is produced with the genetically modified Trichoderma reesei strain DP‐Nyf80 by Genencor International B.V. The genetic modifications do not give rise to safety concerns. Recombinant DNA was not detected under standard testing conditions. However, the absence of viable cells could not be excluded.
