Peixe Zircon as a Quality Control Reference Material in U‐Pb Geochronology by LA‐ICP‐MS
Key Points Peixe#0 zircon was characterised for U‐Pb geochronology using CA‐ID‐TIMS, SIMS and a long‐term LA‐ICP‐MS data set. The consistent results establish Peixe#0 as a reference material for U‐Pb quality control. Trace element heterogeneity requires careful, CL‐guided spot selection.

Developing Australian Academics' Capacity: Supporting the Adoption of Open Educational Practices in Curriculum Design [PDF]
This seed project initiative addressed an identified gap in Australian higher education between awareness of open educational practices (OEP) and implementation of OEP, particularly the production, adaptation and use of open educational resources (OER ...

Predicting Nuclear Resonance Vibrational Spectra of [Fe(OEP)(NO)] [PDF]
Nuclear Resonance Vibrational Spectroscopy (NRVS) is a sensitive vibrational probe for biologically important heme complexes. The exquisite sensitivity of the NRVS data to the electronic structure provides detailed insights into the nature of these interesting compounds, but requires highly accurate computational methods for the mode assignments.

Fingerprints Encode Risk for Bipolarity
ABSTRACT Background Fingerprint patterns are developed during pregnancy and share a common embryogenic origin with the central nervous system. Considering the observed relationship between prenatal abnormalities and higher risk for schizophrenia, we previously built fingerprint‐based algorithms achieving validation accuracies up to 70% in a large ...

Control of oxidation and spin state in a single-molecule junction [PDF]
The oxidation and spin state of a metal–organic molecule determine its chemical reactivity and magnetic properties. Here, we demonstrate the reversible control of the oxidation and spin state in a single Fe porphyrin molecule in the force field of the ...

Membrane vesicles derived from the probiotic Lacticaseibacillus casei BL23 demonstrate antimicrobial properties against Escherichia coli and a potential biological effect in improving the overall survival of C. elegans infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These vesicles stimulated immune responses in primary cells without causing toxicity. Our results
