Targeting the ARRDC3–DRP1 Axis via hUMSC‐Derived Exosomal CRYAB for Neuroprotection in Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Intranasally administered hUMSC‐derived exosomes modulate the CRYAB–ARRDC3–Drp1 axis, alleviating mitochondrial dysfunction and ferroptosis, enhancing neuronal survival, reducing oxidative stress, and promoting functional recovery in ischemia‐reperfusion injury, offering a promising therapeutic strategy for ischemic stroke.

Brain Activations in Response to Prolonged Citral Inhalation Detected by Manganese-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MEMRI)

open access: yesChinese Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2020
In this study, an olfactory inhalation instrument was devised to allow the rats to inhale volatile citral or odorless air. Manganese-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MEMRI) was used to reveal changes of accumulative brain activities after a 24 h ...

How the brain represents the reward value of fat in the mouth. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The palatability and pleasantness of the sensory properties of foods drive food selection and intake and may contribute to overeating and obesity. Oral fat texture can make food palatable and pleasant.
