When Nature Counts: Corporate Biodiversity Attention and Access to Bank Finance
ABSTRACT This paper investigates whether corporate attention to biodiversity influences firms' access to bank loans, an overlooked question in the emerging biodiversity–finance literature. Using a novel, text‐based measure constructed from 446 biodiversity‐related keywords and applied to Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2000 to 2023, we show that ...

Effects of oriC relocation on control of replication initiation in Bacillus subtilis
In bacteria, DNA replication initiation is tightly regulated in order to coordinate chromosome replication with cell growth. In Escherichia coli, positive factors and negative regulatory mechanisms playing important roles in the strict control of DNA ...

The steel industry accounts for about 7%‐9% of global CO2 emissions. While H2‐based direct reduction is a long‐term route, near‐term solutions are needed for existing plants. Internal carbon cycles reuse steelworks off‐gases and by‐products, enabling circular carbon use and supporting CCU integration.

Initial operation of ORIC with tandem injection [PDF]
Coupled operation of the 25 MV tandem and ORIC was achieved on January 27, 1981. The initial beam was 324 MeV /sup 16/O/sup 8 +/ followed shortly by oxygen at 400 MeV-the maximum design energy. Following additional installation and testing of the tandem,

Prospective LCA of E‐Methanol Along the Transformation of Steel Industry
The environmental effects of change in steel production route on e‐methanol production are analyzed as they shift from blast furnace route to direct reduction route. Specific hydrogen demand reduces, as do the avoided CO2 emissions. E‐methanol's overall carbon footprint stays in a narrow range of −1 to −1.1 kg‐CO2‐eq./kg‐methanol.

Peroxodisulfate‐Enhanced Leaching of Deep‐Sea Manganese Crusts and Sulfides
Ammonium peroxodisulfate enables efficient leaching of deep‐sea manganese crusts and massive sulfides while offering electrolytic recycling. High leaching yields for V, Mn, Co, Mo, Sn, and W, along with complete leaching of As and Sb, highlight its potential as a powerful and sustainable oxidant for marine resource processing.
