Lysosome biogenesis during osteoclastogenesis
Lysosomes are acidic, hydrolase-rich vesicles capable of degrading most biological macromolecules. During the past several decades, much has been learned about different aspects of lysosome biogenesis. The selective phosphorylation of mannose residues on lysosomal enzymes, in conjunction with specific receptors for the mannose-6-phosphate recognition ...

Pathophysiology and Molecular Signalling in Osteoporosis: Linking Risk Factors to Bone Loss
ABSTRACT Osteoporosis is a prevalent skeletal disorder characterised by progressive reduction in bone mass, microarchitectural deterioration, and increased fracture susceptibility. In India, approximately one‐third of the elderly population is affected by bone‐related disorders, and the global burden of osteoporosis continues to rise.

ABSTRACT Aim To investigate the intra‐tissue bacteriome and cell profiles within periodontal granulation tissue (PGT) for exploring the biological essence and translational potentials. Materials and Methods PGT samples were collected from 49 patients with severe periodontitis—including those from osseous defects (GT) during periodontal surgery ...

Serum levels of CTRP3 and CysC in elderly patients with T2DM and OP are closely associated with glucose‐lipid metabolism, bone mineral density, and bone metabolism markers. Combined detection of these two markers can assist in distinguishing OP in elderly patients with T2DM.

This study investigates human cortical bone remodeling space morphology and its relationship with age and sex using micro‐CT imaging. Remodeling space morphology exhibits great inter‐ and intraindividual variation. Its dimensions decrease with increasing age, but do not differ between sexes.
