Identification of crucial genes for polycystic ovary syndrome and atherosclerosis through comprehensive bioinformatics analysis and machine learning

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To identify potential biomarkers in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and atherosclerosis, and to explore the common pathologic mechanisms between these two diseases in response to the increased risk of cardiovascular diseases in patients with PCOS.

Maternal gut microbiota‐derived daidzein prevents osteoporosis in female offspring following prenatal prednisone exposure

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
Prenatal prednisone therapy (PPT)/prenatal prednisone exposure (PPE) induces long bone dysplasia, reduced peak bone mass (PBM), and increased osteoporosis susceptibility in female offspring. Maternal gut microbiota metabolite daidzein (DAI) mediates PPE‐induced osteoporosis susceptibility in female adult offspring.

Harnessing the therapeutic potential of bacterial extracellular vesicles via functional peptides

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Bacterial extracellular vesicles (BEVs) are increasingly exploited as therapeutic agents or delivery vehicles for disease treatment due to their intrinsic structure, delivery capacity, immunogenic property, facile production, and versatile modification.
