Synthesis and Antiplatelet Activites of Some Derivatives of p-Coumaric Acid [PDF]

The synthesis of new derivatives of p-coumaric acid was carried out through serial reactions, i.e. alkylating, base hydrolysis, catalytic hydrogenation, and Fisher esterification. All reactions except catalytic hydrogenation were conducted by utilizing microwave irradiation from a household microwave oven.

A UHPLC‐MS/MS method was developed to simultaneously quantify four capsaicinoids and 19 phenolic compounds, the key bioactive constituents in chili peppers. It exhibits high sensitivity, low matrix effects, excellent accuracy, and precision, enabling reliable detection in chili samples.
