InGaAs-based high-performance p-i-n photodiodes [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2002
We have designed, fabricated, and characterized high-speed and high-efficiency InGaAs-based p-i-n photodetectors with a resonant cavity enhanced structure. The devices were fabricated by a microwave-compatible process. By using a postprocess recess etch, we tuned the resonance wavelength from 1605 to 1558 nm while keeping the peak efficiencies above 60%

Multiwavelength Implantable Oximeter for Wireless Monitoring of Tissue Oxygenation in the Presence of Blood Volume Changes

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents an implantable, wireless, battery‐free oximeter that can continuously monitor physiologically consistent regional tissue oxygenation under dynamic changes of blood volume. This is achieved through multiwavelength photoplethysmography and validated both via Monte Carlo simulations and in vivo rat studies. Different stress events were

Silicic thermally stabilized p–i–n-photodiode

open access: yesТехнологія та конструювання в електронній апаратурі, 2006
A design of a silicon p–i–n photodiode crystal thermostabilized by a Peltier thermoelectric module is proposed and investigated. It is shown that such a design allows the noise current density to remain practically unchanged within the temperature range ...
