Photocatalytic oxidation of soot by P25 TiO2 films

Chemosphere, 2006
The photomineralisation of soot by P25 titania films is studied using FT-IR and the process shown to involve the oxidation of carbon to CO2 exclusively. The efficiency of this process is low, however, with a formal quantum efficiency of 1.1 x 10(-4) molecules of carbon oxidized per incident photon of UVA light.

Expression of maedi-visna virus major core protein, p25: development of a sensitive p25 antigen detection assay

Journal of Virological Methods, 1992
The gene for the major core protein, p25, of maedi-visna virus (MVV) was cloned using a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) strategy employing primers designed for the insertion of the gene directly into yeast Ty-VLP expression vectors. In this system p25 is expressed as a fusion protein which self-assembles into virus-like particles (VLPs) due to ...

The Role of CDK5/P25 Formation/Inhibition in Neurodegeneration

Drug News & Perspectives, 2006
Cdk5 is an atypical cyclin-dependent kinase localized in the brain, and its activity is dependent upon binding to p35/p39. In addition, while cdk5 has important physiological functions related to brain development, the breakdown of cdk5/p35 into cdk5/p25 increases its kinase activity and neurotoxicity.

Neurotoxicity induces cleavage of p35 to p25 by calpain

Nature, 2000
Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (cdk5) and its neuron-specific activator p35 are required for neurite outgrowth and cortical lamination. Proteolytic cleavage of p35 produces p25, which accumulates in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Conversion of p35 to p25 causes prolonged activation and mislocalization of cdk5.

P25-Graphene Composite as a High Performance Photocatalyst

ACS Nano, 2009
Herein we obtained a chemically bonded TiO(2) (P25)-graphene nanocomposite photocatalyst with graphene oxide and P25, using a facile one-step hydrothermal method. During the hydrothermal reaction, both of the reduction of graphene oxide and loading of P25 were achieved.

Design and rapid prototyping of SCA-compliant public safety P25 waveform and P25–FM3TR–VoIP bridge

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2011
Establishing radio communication between military commanders, soldiers and law enforcement officers is an important enabling capability to facilitate interoperability. The Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) program is enabling communications within the military by implementing different military radio waveforms on software defined radio (SDR) platforms.

Rapid development of a P25 JTRS waveform

2010 - MILCOM 2010 MILITARY COMMUNICATIONS CONFERENCE, 2010
Past disaster response experience, as well as existing terrorism threats, demands close collaboration between the military and public safety command structure in possible future operations. Establishing radio communication between military commanders, soldiers and law enforcement officers is an important enabling capability to facilitate ...

Efficient and Reliable Multicast of Data in APCO P25 Systems

2015 IEEE 81st Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2015
In this paper, we investigate an efficient scheme for data multicasting in narrowband public safety radio systems. The proposed scheme uses fountain encoding, in order to avoid feedback messages for each individual packet. We first propose a multistage estimation scheme that is based on slotted random access and that does not require any prior ...
