USP10 in Neurological Disorders: Mechanistic Insights and Emerging Therapeutic Strategies
USP10 is a deubiquitinating enzyme that affects neurological diseases through multiple mechanisms, including the accumulation of toxic proteins, autophagy, and immune responses. In this review, we discuss the structure and characteristics of USP10 and summarize the role of USP10 in neurological disorders.

ABSTRACT Autophagy and the ubiquitin/26S proteasome system (UPS) play critical roles in the immune defence of the host against pathogen invasion. As a countermeasure, pathogens deploy effector proteins to subvert or hijack autophagy and UPS processes.

Harnessing blue light photobiomodulation for cancer therapy: Evidence from a systematic review
Conventional treatments for various types of cancer are often associated with tumor recurrence and aggressiveness. Photobiomodulation with blue light (BL; 450–470 nm) emerges as a promising alternative with antitumor effects. This systematic review, with 37 in vitro and in vivo studies from 2002 to 2024, revealed that BL reduces cell viability ...

Muscle wasting in cancer cachexia: Mechanisms and the role of exercise
Abstract Cancer cachexia (CC) is a multifactorial disease marked by a severe and progressive loss of lean muscle mass and characterized further by inflammation and a negative energy/protein balance, ultimately leading to muscle atrophy and loss of muscle tissue.

Abstract Mechanical ventilation (MV) is a life‐saving intervention applied to critically ill patients. A common consequence of MV is ventilator‐induced diaphragm dysfunction (VIDD), which is characterized by significant diaphragm atrophy and reduced contractile function. Older patients who receive MV are more likely to develop VIDD, have worse recovery,
