Analysis of ESR1 mutations in plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) is highly important for the selection of treatment in patients with breast cancer. Using multiplex‐ddPCR and identical blood draws, we investigated whether circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and cfDNA provide similar or complementary information for ESR1 mutations.

Superconductivity in palladium hydride and deuteride at 52-61 kelvin [PDF]
We report the observation of conventional superconductivity at the highest temperature yet attained without mechanical compression, around 54 kelvin in palladium-hydride and 60 kelvin in palladium-deuteride. The remarkable increase in Tc compared to the previously known value was achieved by rapidly cooling the hydride and deuteride after loading with ...

TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.

Metallic spintronic nanofilm as a hydrogen sensor [PDF]
We investigate the response of palladium-cobalt bi-layer thin films to hydrogen charging at atmospheric pressure for spintronic applications. We find that hydrogen absorption by the palladium layer results in the narrowing and shifting of the ferromagnetic resonance line for the material.

Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...

Palladium and Nickel Catalyzed Chain Walking Olefin Polymerization and Copolymerization
In this perspective, recent developments on palladium and nickel mediated chain walking olefin polymerization and copolymerization with polar functionalized comonomers are described. First, the chain walking polymerization mechanism is discussed followed

Biaryl phosphane ligands in palladium-catalyzed amination.
Palladium-catalyzed amination reactions of aryl halides have undergone rapid development in the last 12 years, largely driven by the implementation of new classes of ligands.

Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important
