This paper reports on the modification of Pencil Graphite Electrode (PGE) surface with the poly(2-amino-4-methylphenol)/ gold (PAMP/Au) and graphene oxide/poly(2-amino-4-methylphenol)/gold (GO/PAMP/Au) nanocomposites, in two steps. The first step is based on the one-pot preparation of composites by template-free chemical oxidation process.

PAMPs and DAMPs in Allergy Exacerbation Models [PDF]
Sensitization of mice to real-life allergens or harmless antigen with the use of adjuvants will lead to the induction of DAMPs in the immune system. We have shown that the Th2-inducing adjuvant aluminum hydroxide or exposure of the airways to house dust mite leads to the release of DAMPs: uric acid, ATP, and IL-1.

PAMPs and Host Immune Response in Cryptococcal Infection
Cryptococcus spp. are yeast-type opportunistic fungal pathogens with thick polysaccharide capsules that infect the lungs via airborne routes and frequently cause fatal meningoencephalitis. The cellular immune mechanism plays a central role in controlling cryptococcal infection and is critically regulated by Th1-Th2 immune balance.
