Abstract I describe modification of the spectrophotometric assay described by Cushman and Cheung [biochem. Pharmacol. 20, 1637 (1971)] for serum angiotensin-converting enzyme, with use of "high-pressure" liquid chromatography to measure the hippuric acid end product.
