High expression level of peptidylprolyl isomerase A is correlated with poor prognosis of liver hepatocellular carcinoma. [PDF]
Peptidylprolyl isomerase A (PPIA) has been reported to be correlated with cancer. The present study investigated the prognostic values of PPIA expression levels in cancer by comparing different types of cancer using databases. High expression levels of PPIA were observed in 17 out of 17 cancer types compared with normal adjacent tissues.

Exploring Reaction Pathways for Peptidylprolyl-Isomerase [PDF]
Pin1 enzyme is one of the peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerases (PPIase), which isomerizes an omega bond of specific phospho-Serine/Threonine-Proline motifs, leading to many biological consequences. However, the isomerization mechanism has not been fully clarified yet though there are several experimental and numerical studies.

The crystal structure of human WD40 repeat‐containing peptidylprolyl isomerase (PPWD1) [PDF]
Cyclophilins comprise one of the three classes of peptidylprolyl isomerases found in all eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms, as well as viruses. Many of the 17 annotated human cyclophilins contain the catalytic domain in tandem with other domains, and many of the specific functions of a particular cyclophilin or its associated domains remain unknown.

The Periplasmic Escherichia coli Peptidylprolyl cis,trans-Isomerase FkpA [PDF]
We recently identified FkpA by selecting for the increased yield of antibody single-chain Fv (scFv) fragments in phage display, even of those not containing cis-prolines. We have now investigated the properties of FkpA in vitro. The peptidylprolyl cis-trans-isomerase activity of FkpA was found to be among the highest of any such enzyme with a protein ...

Peptidylprolyl Isomerase Pin1 Directly Enhances the DNA Binding Functions of Estrogen Receptor α. [PDF]
The transcriptional activity of estrogen receptor α (ERα), the key driver of breast cancer proliferation, is enhanced by multiple cellular interactions, including phosphorylation-dependent interaction with Pin1, a proline isomerase, which mediates cis-trans isomerization of the N-terminal Ser(P)(118)-Pro(119) in the intrinsically disordered AF1 ...

Cyclophilin-A Is Bound through Its Peptidylprolyl Isomerase Domain to the Cytoplasmic Dynein Motor Protein Complex [PDF]
Although cyclophilin A (CyP-A) is a relatively abundant small immunophilin present in the cytoplasm of all mammalian cells, its general function(s) in the absence of the immunosuppressant drug cyclosporin A is not known. In contrast, the high molecular weight hsp90-binding immunophilins appear to play a role in protein trafficking in that they have ...

Peptidylprolyl isomerase A governs TARDBP function and assembly in heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein complexes [PDF]
Peptidylprolyl isomerase A (PPIA), also known as cyclophilin A, is a multifunctional protein with peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase activity. PPIA is also a translational biomarker for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and is enriched in aggregates isolated from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and frontotemporal lobar degeneration patients.

miRNA-192-5p impacts the sensitivity of breast cancer cells to doxorubicin via targeting peptidylprolyl isomerase A. [PDF]
The administration of doxorubicin (DOX) is one of the first‐line treatments of breast cancer. However, acquisition of resistance remains the major obstacle restricting the clinical application of DOX. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, noncoding RNAs which play crucial role in epigenetic regulation.

Interplay between acute Type A aortic dissection and pan-cancer: Clinical evidence, bioinformatics, and experimental validation [PDF]
Summary: Acute Type A Aortic Dissection (ATAAD) and cancer represent major global health burdens, yet shared mechanisms remain elusive. Epidemiological analyses linked ATAAD to increased risks of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and head and neck squamous cell

Cloning and characterization of peptidylprolyl isomerase B in the silkworm, Bombyx mori
Peptidylprolyl isomerases (PPIases) play essential roles in protein folding and are implicated in immune response and cell cycle control. Our previous proteomic analysis indicated that Bombyx mori PPIases may be involved in anti- Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) response. To help investigate this mechanism, we cloned a B.
