“Women Enlace”: Interweaving Women to Make Collective Action Possible

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 554-571, March 2026.
ABSTRACT This study engages with the contemporary debate on women's collective action through the lens of commons governance. Drawing on the theory of collective action in the management of common‐pool resources (CPRs) and on feminist ethnography with a group of rural extractivist women in the Cerrado—a vast tropical savanna biome in Brazil's Central ...

Antibacterial Properties of Pequi Pulp Oil (Caryocar coriaceum – WITTM.)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Food Properties, 2011
Pequi fruits have a high nutritional value, and they are rich in protein and vitamins. This work reports the results of the chemical characterization and antibacterial activity of “pequi” fruit pulp oil of Caryocar coriaceum (Wittm). Chemical composition was assessed by GLC and the antibacterial activity was assayed by the disk diffusion method.

Length-scale Specific Crystalline Structural Changes Induced by Molecular Randomization of Pequi Oil

open access: yesJournal of Oleo Science, 2017
Pequi fruit (Caryocar brasiliense Camb) is considered important since its pulp has a high content of oil and carotenoids. The oil's triacylglycerols (TAGs) contain mainly oleic (~57%) and palmitic (~36%) fatty acids, distributed primarily among POO, POP/PPO, and OOO TAGs.

Ethyl esters obtained from pequi and macaúba oils by transesterification with homogeneous acid catalysis [PDF]

open access: yesFuel, 2020
Abstract In this work, it was investigated the presence of ethyl esters in transesterified pequi (PO) and macauba (MO) oils. To obtain the biodiesel, an acid-catalyzed homogeneous reaction was used. Yields of 95% for MO were obtained using an oil:ethanol ratio of 1:30 and sulfuric acid (H2SO4), reaction times of 4, 8, 12, and 24 h were used.
