1. 富有柿の圧搾残渣から多糖類の分離を行い, pectin, hemicellulose及びα-celluloseとγ-celluloseをそれぞれ単離した。2. Hemicelluloseの構成糖としてxylose, mannose glucose, galactoseの存在する事をpaper chromatography及び確認反応により確めた。尚1個の未詳の物質の存在を認めた。3. Hemicelluloseは上記単糖類を構成糖とする極めて複雑な多糖類と想像される。終りに臨み本研究に際し, 常に御鞭糖を賜つた本学農学部長高橋悌蔵博士に深謝し, 実験に助力せられた安藤幸三氏に感謝の意を表する。
