This review focuses on mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) activation and summarizes how plants regulate and integrate MAPK signaling in modulating plant immune responses. It also examines the effectors pathogens have evolved to manipulate MAPK activation and thereby inhibit plant immunity.

Toward a Systems-Level View of Dynamic Phosphorylation Networks
To better understand how cells sense and respond to their environment, it is important to understand the organization and regulation of the phosphorylation networks that underlie most cellular signal transduction pathways.

ABSTRACT Background Radiation damage severely impacts salivary gland function and cell survival, especially in head and neck radiotherapy. Tempol (TPL), a free radical scavenger, has shown protective effects against radiation damage. This research aimed to investigate the protective effects of TPL on radiation‐induced damage in Hs917.T cells and the ...

ABSTRACT Aim The aim of this Phase I/II open‐label study was to assess the safety and efficacy of NTI164, a novel full‐spectrum medicinal cannabis plant extract 0.08% Δ‐9‐tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), in Rett syndrome (RTT). Methods Eleven female participants (5–16 years) with a pathogenic variant in the MECP2 gene were recruited to this study, receiving

Roles of PknB and CslA in Cell Wall Morphogenesis of Streptomyces
Streptomyces grow by extending hyphal tips, a process regulated by polarisome complexes anchored by DivIVA. Using a genetic screen based on toxic DivIVA overproduction, we identified the kinase PknB as a key regulator of cell envelope construction.

ABSTRACT Molecular chaperones play a central role in the plant proteostasis machinery by aiding the folding of nascent proteins, preventing aggregation, and repairing or degrading damaged proteins. These functions are especially essential during abiotic and biotic stress, which can destabilise cellular proteins and disrupt metabolic homoeostasis.

ABSTRACT Isoprene is the most abundant biogenic volatile organic compound emitted by terrestrial vegetation. Here we report the impact of isoprene on root‐associated microbiomes. Using isoprene‐emitting (IE) transgenic tobacco and isogenic non‐emitting (NE) controls, we performed co‐cultivation experiments in natural soil and analysed plant phenotypes ...
