Quality Assessment of Discarded Human Kidneys Using Normothermic Perfusion

open access: yesTransplantation Direct
Background. Ex vivo normothermic perfusion (EVNP) allows for comprehensive functional assessment; however, current scoring systems are validated only for short perfusion durations.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Feasibility of a ctDNA multigenic panel for non‐small‐cell lung cancer early detection and disease surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

On Banach frameness of degenerate weighted exponential system

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Algorithms for Sciences and Engineering
This work deals with the frameness of weighted exponential system E ( ω , Z ) = { ω ( t ) e i n t } n ∈ Z $E(\omega ,Z)= \left \{\omega (t)e^{int} \right \}_{n\in Z} $ in the space L p ( − π , π ) $L_{p} (-\pi ,\pi )$ , p > 1 $p>1$ , with the weight ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

A large Pi-1-2 set absolute for set forcing

open access: yes, 1992
Let k be a definable L-cardinal. Then there is a set of reals X, class-generic over L, such that L(X) and L have the same cardinals, X has size k in L(X) and some pi-1-2 formula defines X in all set-generic extensions of L(X). Two corollaries, both assuming the consistency of an inaccessible: It is consistent for the Perfect Set Property to hold for ...

Pi 1 Magnetic Pulsations Observed in Association with Low Latitude Aurora.

open access: yesJournal of geomagnetism and geoelectricity, 1994
Irregular magnetic pulsations and IPDP plasma wave events related to the low latitude aurora were observed at Yonezawa observatory on October 20 and 21, 1989. Three positive bays appeared in the magnetograms on October 20. Concurrently, IPDP, Pi 2, Pi B and Pi C are registered during the respective positive bays.

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).
