Accumulation of Injected Proteins in the Auricles of the Pearl Oyster Pinctada fucata martensii
In the pearl oyster Pinctada fucata martensii, it was attempted to locate the organ most abundant in fixed phagocytes. In order to accomplish this, I searched for the organ which accumulated exogenous proteins injected into the blood using immunohistochemical techniques, and then sought out the phagocytes in the organ using electron-microscopy.
