Electrochemical Hydrogenation of N‐Heterocycles and Related Substrates: A Mini‐Review

open access: yesElectrochemical Science Advances, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Catalytic hydrogenation refers to the (often) metal‐mediated addition of dihydrogen (H2) equivalents to unsaturated compounds to form new element‐hydrogen bonds. This conceptually simple reaction is ubiquitous in the production of a vast number of essential chemicals.

Application of Ferulic Acid to Alleviate Chilling Injury of Banana Fruit by Regulating Redox, Phenylpropanoid, and Energy Metabolism

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
This study investigated the effect of ferulic acid (FA) on the cold tolerance of banana fruit under 6°C‐storage for 7 days. In comparison with control, 3 mM FA treatment significantly alleviated chilling symptoms of banana fruit by enhancing phenylpropanoid metabolism and maintaining redox and energy homeostasis. ABSTRACT Banana fruit is susceptible to

Random Access Memory (RAM) Contacts Waste Catalyzes Organic Reactions

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, EarlyView.
Wasted RAM contacts catalyze different organic reactions in good to excellent yields, with turnover numbers >0.5 million in some cases. The RAM contacts are used without any previous treatment and are recovered and reused. Kilograms of organic products could be produced with the RAM contacts of just five discarded laptops. These results open the way to

Synthesis, Characterization, and Biological Evaluation of Red Light‐Activatable BODIPY‐Caged Ceritinib Compounds

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, EarlyView.
Abstract In this work, we aimed at photocaging the well‐known anticancer agents dasatinib, ceritinib, gemcitabine, and combretastatin A4 with red‐light activatable 4,4‐difluoro‐4‐bora‐3a,4a‐diaza‐s‐indacene (BODIPY)‐based cages using a carbonate/carbamate linking strategy.
