A fluorine‐rich acrylate monomer (PFHEA) was solvent‐free applied to NCM90 and thermally decomposed under Ar to convert residual lithium into LiF and form a pre‐built LiF/fluorinated amorphous carbon (LiF/FC) interphase. The LiF/FC layer suppresses NiO rock‐salt reconstruction and microcrack propagation, lowers interfacial resistance, and improves Li ...

An original method is presented for producing artificial spider silk fibers with magnetic and magnetomechanical responsiveness, which consists in coating them with a nanometer‐thick layer of FeCo alloy by sputtering deposition. The challenge of combining organic materials and inorganic magnetic nanostructures is addressed, thus taking a step forward ...

Room-temperature atomic layer deposition of platinum
Plasma-assisted atomic layer deposition (ALD) processes were developed for the deposition of platinum films at room temperature. High-quality, virtually pure films with a resistivity of 18–24 µO cm were obtained for processes consisting of MeCpPtMe3 ...

Atomic layer deposition of HfO2 using HfCp(NMe2)3 and O2 plasma [PDF]
HfO2 thin films were prepared by plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition using a cyclopentadienyl-alkylamido precursor [HfCp(NMe2)3, HyALD™] and an O2 plasma over a temperature range of 150–400 °C at a growth per cycle around 1.1 Å/cycle. The high purity

Controlling the exposed crystal facet of shape‐controlled Au‐Pd core‐shell catalysts though colloidal synthesis enhances their catalytic performance in the industrially relevant selective hydrogenation of butadiene. ABSTRACT Selective hydrogenation of butadiene is a critical step in purification of alkene feedstocks for polymer production and is ...

Plasma atomic layer deposition
Plasma atomic layer deposition (ALD) is optimized through modulation of the gas residence time during an excited species phase, wherein activated reactant is supplied such as from a plasma.

Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

This work introduces a swelling‐induced, stress‐assisted water‐soluble PVA tape strategy to transfer‐print nanodiamond quantum‐sensor arrays onto soft, curved biological interfaces. The room‐temperature, water‐triggered process achieves >98% fidelity and residue‐free integration, enabling conformal quantum sensing on contact lenses, neural probes, and ...
