Effect of Ethanol on the Micellization and Gelation of Pluronic P123
Langmuir, 2008In certain applications copolymer P123 (E21P67E21) is dissolved in water-ethanol mixtures, initially to form micellar solutions and eventually to gel. For P123 in 10, 20, and 30 wt % aqueous ethanol we used dynamic light scattering from dilute solutions to confirm micellization, oscillatory rheometry, and visual observation of mobility (tube inversion)

USE OF PLURONIC MICELLES TO OVERCOME MULTIDRUG-RESISTANCE
International Journal of Oncology, 1994Pluronic P-85 (poly(55)(oxypropylene)dipoly(s)(oxyethylene)) was used to form daunorubicin containing micelles. This new carrier was tested in vitro on sensitive and resistant ovarian cancer cell lines. Drug incorporation was measured by cytofluorometry and the cytotoxicity was measured by the tetrazolium formazan XTT assay. ID50 of 0.16 and 25 mu g/ml

Pluronic®-bile salt mixed micelles
Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2018The present study was aimed to examine the interaction of two bile salts viz. sodium cholate (NaC) and sodium deoxycholate (NaDC) with three ethylene polyoxide-polypropylene polyoxide (PEO-PPO-PEO) triblock copolymers with similar PPO but varying PEO micelles with a focus on the effect of pH on mixed micelles.

Aggregation of Pluronics in Ionic Liquids
2011Pluronics (PEOy-PPOx-PEOytriblock copolymers) self-assemble in water to form mainly micelles with several potential applications, such as the improvement of the aqueous solubility of drugs, chemical separations and nanoparticle synthesis Room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) are alternative solvents with characteristic properties, such as non ...
