The Micellization of Pluronics
2009The micellization of several Pluronics (PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymers) was investigated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). These copolymers were also characterized and purified by liquid chromatography. The PEO/PPO compositions of Pluronics were determined by 1H-NMR.

Pluronic poisoning in a herd of dairy calves
New Zealand Veterinary Journal, 1986Of 32 calves given an unknown amount of a pluronic bloat mixture with their milk, 28 died in convulsions over 24 hours. Supportive therapy was unsuccessful. Concentrations of pluronic present in abomasal and rumenal contents supported a diagnosis of pluronic poisoning.

The sizes of Pluronic F68 micelles in water and phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) were determined using dynamic light scattering. Micelles formation was observed at Pluronic F68 concentrations of 0.7 wt % and higher, with particle sizes not exceeding 5 nm.
