DAXX promotes ovarian cancer ascites cell proliferation and migration by activating the ERK signaling pathway

open access: yesJournal of Ovarian Research, 2018
Background The death-domain-associated protein (DAXX) was originally identified as a protein that binds to the transmembrane death receptor FAS and enhances both FAS-induced and transforming growth factor-β-dependent apoptosis.

Direct Gravity‐Induced Modulation of Cardiac Conduction Pathways Evidenced Through Propagation Features in Electrophysiological Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A high‐density wearable body‐surface potential mapping array reveals how gravity reshapes cardiac conduction in real time. By resolving spatiotemporal delay patterns invisible to conventional ECG, the platform uncovers posture‐dependent electrophysiological adaptations across the thorax.

Dysregulated early transcriptional signatures linked to mast cell and interferon responses are implicated in COVID-19 severity

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2023
BackgroundDysregulated immune responses to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection are thought to underlie the progression of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to severe disease.

Multi‐Dielectric Metasurfaces for Ultrabright, Tunable Structural Color and Reconfigurable Optical Filtering with Extraordinarily Large Color Span

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Structural color generation is an emerging field for digital display and printing applications. This report presents a novel truncated‐cone design and the first use of GaP sandwiched between two layers of TiO2, demonstrating ultra‐bright, tunable colors with a record color gamut.

Chromatin topology reorganization and transcription repression by PML-RARα in acute promyeloid leukemia

open access: yesGenome Biology, 2020
Background Acute promyeloid leukemia (APL) is characterized by the oncogenic fusion protein PML-RARα, a major etiological agent in APL. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the role of PML-RARα in leukemogenesis remain largely unknown.

Photon‐Sphere Modes in Curved Optical Microcavities: A Black‐Hole Analogue Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optical analogue of a Schwarzschild black hole is realized using curved microcavities that preserve light‐like geodesics. A new family of laser modes confined around the photon sphere is identified alongside conventional whispering‐gallery modes. Analytical theory, numerical simulations, and experiments reveal curvature‐induced confinement, enabling

Role for a Filamentous Nuclear Assembly of IFI16, DNA, and Host Factors in Restriction of Herpesviral Infection

open access: yesmBio, 2019
Several host cell nuclear factors are known to restrict herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) replication, but their mechanisms of action remain to be defined.

All‐in‐One Underwater Quality Evaluation Metamaterial With Mechanical Robustness, Sound Attenuation, and Diffuse Reflection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, a bioinspired all‐in‐one underwater quality evaluation metamaterial, combining sound attenuation, diffuse reflection, and mechanical robustness, is proposed based on jumping spider locomotion and human skeletal biomechanics. Meanwhile, a CNN‑driven quality evaluation framework is established for theoretically dimension‐reduced ...

Ultrabroadband and Highly Sensitive Short‐Wave Infrared Molecular Fingerprinting via Acoustic MXene Plasmons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acoustic plasmons in Ti3C2Tx MXene strongly compress infrared electromagnetic fields and enhance light–matter interactions at the nanoscale. This platform couples broadband plasmon excitations with molecular vibrations, enabling simultaneous sensing of high‐ and low‐frequency vibrational modes in ultrathin PMMA and graphene oxide films, and extending ...

Targeting Host Defense: The Dynamic Nd10 Interaction And The Differential Substrate Recognition Of Hsv-1 Icp0 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
ICP0 is one of the immediate early viral proteins and essential for HSV-1 replication in low MOI infection. ICP0 is involved in manipulating various cellular pathways and attenuating their inhibitory functions on viral replication through either protein ...
