Avocado Oil: Commercial Hass Versus Other Varieties—Fatty Acid Profile and Quality

Avocado oils vary in their fatty acid profiles depending on the variety. We compared commercial Hass avocado oils with local Brazilian varieties and olive oils, finding that some non‐commercial varieties, such as Primavera and Galavote, exhibit a quality similar to olive oil.

Modeling Land Management Impacts: Asymmetric Reductions of Sediment and Phosphorus Versus Legacy Nitrogen in the Enkare Narok Catchment in Kenya

Conservation practices in an East African catchment dramatically cut sediment (80%) and phosphorus (76%) loads but are markedly less effective on nitrogen (8% reduction) due to legacy groundwater nitrate, revealing a critical trade‐off between water quality and quantity.

Edible Antifungal Coatings Based on Litchi Chinensis Seed Starch Enriched With Pericarp Procyanidins for the Postharvest Preservation of Strawberries

Lychee starch coatings enriched with procyanidins showed strong antifungal activity and effectively preserved strawberry quality postharvest, reducing weight loss, decay, and senescence. This highlights their potential as a sustainable natural alternative for shelf‐life extension and fungal control in fresh produce.
