Unlocking Terahertz Steganography: Authentication of Hidden Images in Flexible Media
Hidden information in multilayered devices, such as steganographic portraits, is detected and authenticated using reflection‐mode terahertz time‐domain imaging. Image reconstruction relies on a dedicated figure‐of‐merit obtained by integrating the signal intensity over the time‐window associated with the reflection from the metallic mirror backing the ...

Active suspensions have been considered for improving the ride quality of railway vehicles. Recently various control methods have been proposed. In this paper preview control is studied. Preview control, a kind of feedforward control, has two disadvantages. ( 1 ) Preview control does not increase the stability of a system.

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Preview Estimation and Control for (Semi-) Active Suspensions
An active suspension with preview is tested for rounded pulses and a stochastic road surface, and is compared to a passive suspension. The spectacular performance improvement obtained for a step function as road surface is not achieved but the improvement is still significant. The frequency response of the active suspension is determined for comparison

Asymmetry in Skipping Enhances Viability Against Control Input Noise
Quadruped animals use asymmetric galloping gaits at high speeds, yet the functional role of this asymmetry remains unclear. This study shows that left–right asymmetry in touchdown angles enhances robustness to control noise. Using a simple two‐legged locomotion model and viability theory, it demonstrates that asymmetric skipping substantially enlarges ...

Preview Control with Virtual Disturbance for Active Suspension Systems
This paper presents a method to design a preview controller with virtual disturbance and an active suspension system for ride comfort improvement and motion sickness mitigation. Quarter-car and half-car models are selected as the vehicle model.
