Synergistic Promotion of Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Tumorigenesis and Metastasis by Oral Polystyrene Nanoplastics Exposure via Alloprevotella‐Derived Glutamate and Platelet Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polystyrene nanoplastics (PS‐NPs) administered via oral exposure accelerate triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) progression by synergistically modulating gut microbiota‐derived glutamate production and platelet activation. This study uncovers a pivotal crosstalk between microbial metabolites and platelet‐tumor interactions, offering mechanistic ...

The Inositol- 1,4,5=Trisphosphate System Is Involved in Rapid Effects of Aldosterone in Human Mononuclear Leukocytes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
There is increasing evidence for rapid steroid action on electrolyte transport in human mononuclear leukocytes (HML). In HML, aldosterone stimulates the Na+/H+ antiporter within a few minutes. Because a variety of hormones and growth factors activate the

Centimeter‐Scale Self‐Assembling Tendon Organoids Drive Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Centimeter‐scale tendon organoids are engineered by mimicking the extracellular matrix and optimizing chemical cues to guide tendon stem/progenitor cells. These large, self‐assembling constructs overcome conventional size limitations and exhibit enhanced tenogenic differentiation, extracellular matrix production, and mechanical resilience. Their tissue‐

Immunolocalization of progesterone receptors in binucleate trophoblast cells of the buffalo placenta (Bubalus bubalis) [PDF]

open access: yesBiotemas, 2007
The binucleate trophoblast cells (CTBs) of the water buffalo placenta (Bubalus bubalis) were studied with emphasis on the presence of progesterone receptor.

Enhanced Selenium Supplement Extends Lifespan and Delays Multi‐Organs Aging by Regulating the Sik1 Pathway Through Maintaining Calcium Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Aging involves physiological decline and heightened disease susceptibility, necessitating effective interventions. Redox‐responsive selenium‐loaded nanoparticles (SeMSNs) are developed, which delay cellular senescence by reducing oxidative stress and senescence markers (p16/p21). In aged mice, SeMSNs extend lifespan, improve organ function, and restore

Comparison of hormonal receptor and HER-2 status between breast primary tumours and relapsing tumours: clinical implications of progesterone receptor loss

open access: yesVirchows Archiv, 2011
Differences in hormone receptor and HER-2 status between primary tumour and corresponding relapse could have a substantial impact on clinical management of patients.

Lactate Dehydrogenase C4 Accelerates Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Progression by Promoting Acetyl‐CoA Acyltransferase 2 Lactylation to Increase Free Fatty Acid Accumulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Diagram of the reprogramming of FA metabolism mediated by LDHC4‐induced ACAA2 activity to promote TNBC progression. LDHC4 drives TNBC progression by enhancing ACAA2‐mediated fatty acid production. The resulting accumulation of FFAs stimulates autophagy and accelerates cell cycle progression, thereby promoting tumor growth.
