ABRO1 arrests cardiomyocyte proliferation and myocardial repair by suppressing PSPH

open access: yesMolecular Therapy, 2023
The role of Abraxas 2 (ABRO1 or KIAA0157), a component of the lysine63-linked deubiquitinating system, in the cardiomyocyte proliferation and myocardial regeneration is unknown. Here, we found that ABRO1 regulates cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration in the postnatal heart by targeting METTL3-mediated m6A methylation of Psph mRNA.

PSPH promotes melanoma growth and metastasis by metabolic deregulation-mediated transcriptional activation of NR4A1

open access: yesOncogene, 2021
Metabolic deregulation, a hallmark of cancer, fuels cancer cell growth and metastasis. Here, we show that phosphoserine phosphatase (PSPH), an enzyme of the serine metabolism pathway, is upregulated in patient-derived melanoma samples. PSPH knockdown using short hairpin RNAs (shRNAs) blocks melanoma tumor growth and metastasis in both cell culture and ...
