Adss1–HDAC3 Interaction: A Novel Mechanism for Epigenetic Regulation of Metabolism in Adipose Tissue

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Obesity and its related metabolic disorders have emerged as global public health challenges with underlying mechanisms involving an imbalance between energy storage and expenditure in the adipose tissue. In recent years, with the deepening research on adipose tissue metabolism, the cross talk between metabolic enzymes and epigenetic regulation

Purinosomes involved in the regulation of tumor metabolism: current progress and potential application targets

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
The core of tumor cell metabolism is the management of energy metabolism due to the extremely high energy requirements of tumor cells. The purine nucleotide synthesis pathway in cells uses the purinosomes as an essential spatial structural complex.

Comparative genomic analysis reveals a critical role of de novo nucleotide biosynthesis for Saccharomyces cerevisiae virulence.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
In recent years, the number of human infection cases produced by the food related species Saccharomyces cerevisiae has increased. Whereas many strains of this species are considered safe, other 'opportunistic' strains show a high degree of potential ...

PERCC1‐associated enteropathy: Diagnostic challenges and enteral autonomy achieved with teduglutide

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Congenital diarrheas and enteropathies (CODE) are rare inherited disorders characterized by early‐onset intractable diarrhea. Though progress has been made in elucidating the genetic basis of CODE, much remains to be discovered. Another challenge is the lack of curative therapies—treatment is primarily supportive including enteral and ...

Identification of Natural and Artificial Modifications in DNA at the Nanometer Level

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
Short single‐ and double‐stranded DNA sequences with natural and artificial markers are examined at ambient conditions using TERS to identify and localize the labelled nucleobases. The differences between single‐ and double‐stranded DNA should provide clear experimental evidence of the extreme surface sensitivity of TERS.

HMGB1 Assists in Overcoming Cisplatin Resistance in Chemoresistant Human Ovarian Cancer Cells

open access: yesMolecular Carcinogenesis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cisplatin is one of the most effective chemotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of ovarian cancer. However, the frequent development of cisplatin resistance remains a significant limitation, leading to therapeutic failure and poor patient outcomes.
