Effects of side jet on pursuit-evasion games

Proceedings of 2003 IEEE Conference on Control Applications, 2003. CCA 2003., 2004
It is hard for missile to intercept the target which maneuvers in a smart way. To succeed in intercepting the target, some modern missiles are equipped with side jets. To verify the improvement of the interception performance by side jets, the effect of the side jet is modeled to apply to pursuit-evasion game.

Policy Improvements for Probabilistic Pursuit-Evasion Game

Journal of Intelligent & Robotic Systems, 2013
This paper focuses on a pursuit-evasion game (PEG) which involves two teams: one side consists of pursuers trying to minimize the time required to capture evaders, and the other side consists of evaders trying to maximize the capture time by escaping the pursuers.

Detectability in games of pursuit evasion with antagonizing players

2007 46th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2007
In reality, the games of pursuit and evasion actually involve antagonizing players, rather than the commonly studied pursuit and evasion games with pre-fixed pursuers or evaders. In these practical scenarios, the game process can normally be divided into three stages: detection, attack and engagement stages.

Co-evolution of cooperation in a pursuit evasion game

Proceedings 2003 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS 2003) (Cat. No.03CH37453), 2004
This research concerns the comparison of different artificial evolution approaches to the design of cooperative behavior in a team of simulated mobile robots co-evolved against a second team. The first and second approaches, termed: single pool and plasticity, are characterized by robots that share a single genotype, though the plasticity approach ...

Existence of value in generalized pursuit-evasion games

The 22nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1983
Summary: The results presented here relate both to a pursuit-evasion game and to a game of fixed time duration. The dynamics of both games is governed by a system of differential inclusions, and the state variables x, y have to satisfy some general type constraints. Player I can apply any lower 17- strategy in the sense of the author [Syst.

Emergence of Specialized Behavior in a Pursuit-Evasion Game

2007
This research concerns the comparison of three different artificial evolution approaches to the design of cooperative behavior in a group of simulated mobile robots. The first and second approaches, termed: single pool and plasticity, are characterized by robot controllers that share a single genotype, though the plasticity approach includes a learning

Solution Techniques for Realistic Pursuit-Evasion Games

1981
The objective of the article is to demonstrate that realistic pursuit- evasion problems formulated as zero-sum differential games can be meaningfully solved by analytical methods. The first step and the key for success towards such a solution is appropriate mathematical modelling of the problem.
