Multi component one pot synthesis and characterization of derivatives of 2-amino-7,7- dimethyl-5-oxo-4-phenyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4H-chromene-3-carbonitrile and study of anti-microbial activity

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia, 2018
An efficient and convenient procedure has been described for one-pot multi-component synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyrans known as 2-amino-7,7-dimethyl-5-oxo-4-phenyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4H-chromene-3-carbonitrile which can be obtained from the reaction ...

Resilience of floral scent emission after florivory

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Florivory is thought to affect floral traits, impacting pollination. However, our data suggest a stability in post‐florivory scent emission, which may guarantee the maintenance of pollinator visitation regardless of florivory, indicating a resilience of natural systems with multiple and simultaneous interactions. Created in BioRender. Tunes, P.

A MassQL‐Based Framework for Rule‐Guided MS/MS Class‐Level Retrieval and Analog Discovery of Cannabinoids

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 16, 30 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale Cannabinoids comprise a chemically diverse group of meroterpenoids whose extensive isomerism, variable side‐chain length, and frequent oxidative or rearranged derivatives lead to strongly overlapping yet characteristic MS/MS fragmentation patterns. In untargeted LC–MS/MS datasets, this combination of structural diversity and spectral

Prins fluorination cyclisations: Preparation of 4-fluoro-pyran and -piperidine heterocycles

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2010
The Prins reaction was investigated using BF3·OEt2 as a Lewis acid. It has been recently demonstrated, that if BF3·OEt2 is used in stoichiometric amounts then these reactions generate fluorinated products where the BF3·OEt2 contributes fluoride ion to ...

Interactions of Plant Protein and Natural Colorant: A Structural and Functional Relationship of Broccoli Protein and Marigold Color Compounds

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2026.
Graphical representation of the interactions of the structural and functional relationships of broccoli flower protein (BFP) and marigold color compounds (MCC). This research examines BFP–MCC interactions of extracted marigold color, chemical composition, and functional attributes.

Simultaneous Analysis of Antihyperlipidemic Drug Combinations by Green High‐Performance Liquid Chromatography Using Design of Experiments

open access: yesSEPARATION SCIENCE PLUS, Volume 9, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of worldwide mortality, often supported by intricate dyslipidemic patterns of high levels of low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol and triacylglycerol. HMG‐CoA reductase inhibitors (statins) and ezetimibe can be used synergistically to treat these pathologies, as they target distinct metabolic ...

Characterisation of Sex Pheromone and Genetic Strain in Rachiplusia nu (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Populations Across Brazil

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, Volume 150, Issue 6, Page 791-802, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Rachiplusia nu, known as the sunflower looper (SFL) and belonging to the Plusiinae subfamily, is a major defoliator of soybeans, sunflowers and other horticultural crops across southern South America. This species has recently expanded to central and northern regions of Brazil, becoming a key soybean pest.

A General Strategy for the Synthesis of Jerangolids Enabled by π‐allyl Stille Coupling

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 23, 16 June 2026.
A general strategy for the synthesis of jerangolids is established, featuring a late‐stage π‐allyl Stille coupling of two advanced, highly customizable building blocks to form the skipped diene core. The approach provides access to all naturally occurring jerangolids, including jerangolid H, whose configuration is confirmed by NMR analysis.

Addition of lithiated enol ethers to nitrones and subsequent Lewis acid induced cyclizations to enantiopure 3,6-dihydro-2H-pyrans – an approach to carbohydrate mimetics

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2010
A stereodivergent synthesis of enantiopure 3,6-dihydro-2H-pyrans is presented. The addition of lithiated enol ethers to carbohydrate-derived nitrones afforded syn- or anti-configured hydroxylamine derivatives 4a–d that were cyclized under Lewis acidic ...
