Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

A Neutral “Masked” Diborene and Its Reactivity Toward Metal‐Free Pyridine Homocoupling
An unprecedented neutral “masked” diborene, formed via intramolecular arene dearomatization of an N‐heterocyclic imine‐supported free diborene, can be photochemically released to regenerate the highly reactive triplet diborene intermediate. Computational analysis elucidates the bonding situation of the hitherto elusive free diborene species, and the ...

Diisopropyl pyrazine-2,5-dicarboxylate [PDF]
The mol-ecule of the title compound, C(12)H(16)N(2)O(4), is located on an inversion center. The carboxyl-ate groups are twisted slightly with respect to the pyrazine ring, making a dihedral angle of 6.4 (3)°.
