One‐Pot Amidation/C─H Halogenation by an Efficient Electrochemical Cascade
A sustainable electrochemical cascade enables the one‐pot synthesis of regioselectively halogenated N‐aryl amides from readily available amines and acyl halides under mild conditions. The method merges amidation and C─H halogenation in a single operational step, delivering broad substrate scope, high selectivity, and scalability, and provides an ...

Nano-ZnO Catalyzed Green and Efficient One-Pot Four-Component Synthesis of Pyranopyrazoles
An efficient zinc oxide nanoparticle catalyzed one-pot, four-component synthesis of 6-amino-3-methyl-5-cyano-4-aryl-1,4-dihydropyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles from aromatic aldehyde, malononitrile, ethyl acetoacetate, and hydrazine hydrate in aqueous medium is ...

Pyrazoles as potential anti-angiogenesis agents: A contemporary overview
Angiogenesis is a mulit-step process by which new blood vessels are formed from preexisting vasculature. It is a key rate limiting factor in tumor growth since new blood vessels are necessary to increase tumor size. In this context it has been shown that

Structural and Chemical Engineering of Sub‐Nanochannel Membranes Toward Ion Selectivity
This review summarizes recent advances in structural and chemical engineering of sub‐nanochannels for ion selectivity. We first introduce fundamental ion transport mechanisms within sub‐nanochannels, followed by strategies to tune pore size, geometry, and surface functionalities, categorized into charge‐based, ion‐recognition, hydrophilic bonding, and ...

We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

Cycloadditions of cyclohexynes and cyclopentyne. [PDF]
We report the strategic use of cyclohexyne and the more elusive intermediate, cyclopentyne, as a tool for the synthesis of new heterocyclic compounds. Experimental and computational studies of a 3-substituted cyclohexyne are also described.

The AAA+ ATPase Valosin‐containing protein (VCP/p97) regulates protein homeostasis by unfolding ubiquitinated substrates. Here, we describe UTE‐156, a novel irreversible covalent inhibitor that modifies Cys522 in the D2 ATPase motor domain. Although its pharmacochemical limitations preclude immediate therapeutic use, UTE‐156 serves as a valuable ...
