New Pyridone-Based Derivatives as Cannabinoid Receptor Type 2 Agonists [PDF]
The activation of the human cannabinoid receptor type II (CB2R) is known to mediate analgesic and anti-inflammatory processes without the central adverse effects related to cannabinoid receptor type I (CB1R).

Late‐Stage Functionalization of Peptides on the Solid Phase
Peptide modifications are essential to control pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic properties of peptide drugs. Consequently, strategies that allow for efficient and rapid incorporation of non‐canonical modifications into peptides in parallel formats are highly sought after.

SYNTHESIS AND ANTIHYPERLIPIDEMIC ACTIVITY OF CERTAIN NICOTINIC ACID DERIVATIVES [PDF]
3-Ethoxycarbonyl-4,6-dimethyl-2(1H)-pyridone I was prepared and converted to the corresponding sodium salt II. The latter reacted with certain chloroacetanilides to afford the corresponding ethers III.

Porous Carbon Materials for Carbon Dioxide Capture
This work aims to address the current status and challenges associated with the regulation of pore structures, as well as the influence of pore structures on CO2 capture. Systematic quantitative analysis of structure–property relationships, combined with machine learning approaches, can effectively evaluate the contributions of structural ...

Synthesis of 2-Pyridone Derivatives Bearing an Electron-withdrawing Group on Nitrogen [PDF]
1-Protected 2(1H)-pyridones are highly useful dienophiles because Diels-Alder reaction of 1-sulfonyl-2(1H)-pyridones gave the synthetic intermediate such as quinoline and isoquinoline derivatives.

Conservation of the Hydrogen-Bonded Pyridone Homosynthon in Halogen-Bonded Cocrystals
Seven cocrystals of pyridone and perfluorinated halocarbons have been prepared. In all cases pairs of pyridone molecules are connected into dimers by two N–H···O hydrogen bonds, forming the characteristic pyridone homosynthon of R22(8) topology.
